Hydropruf Balcony System

Description

A solvent free, fast curing, flexible balcony waterproofing system. It incorporates a polyurea waterproofing membrane that gives a strong crack bridging coat. A hard-wearing anti-slip layer is then applied.

Product Specification

Product: Leeson Balcony System
Thickness: Nominal 3mm

Substrate Requirements

The substrate should be dry to 75%RH as per BS8204
and free from rising damp.

Asphalt: No primer required

Concrete: Primer must be used. Minimum 25N/mm2, free
from laitance, dust and other contamination.

Chelford 52 Sand Or PU3922 PU primer 1kg/m2
Waterproofing: Leeson SG2 (PU4693 Spray) 2.2kg/m2
Leeson HA1 (PURA4421) 2.2kg/m2
Wear Layer: Leeson Grip 2-1 (D3149) 1.3kg/m2
Aggregate: Quartz 0.4-0.8mm 6kg/m2

UV Discolouration

*Please note that rubber crumb binder products are based on MDI polyurethane technology which is subject to colour change under exposure to UV. The strength of the system is not affected.

We have in-house UV testing facilities and can test customers rubber/binder combinations. We strongly urge our customers to use this service prior to using a new rubber.

Technical Information

The figures below are typical properties achieved in laboratory tests at 21˚C and 55% Relative Humidity.

Temperature Resistance

Resistant to temperatures of up to 50˚C for long periods.

Chemical Resistance

To various acids, diesel and petrol as well as strong bases.

Bond Strength

Greater than the cohesive strength of the concrete, >3 N/mm2

Environmental Impact

The finished system is assessed as non-hazardous to health and the environment. The long service life and seamless surface reduce the need for repairs, maintenance and cleaning. Environmental and health considerations are controlled during manufacture of the products by
